Charity Ekeke grew up in Nigeria and sang in a choir. She saved the little money she had to buy song books that included works from famous recording artists around the world and spent her free time learning the music from these books.
Once in the United States, she found that her personal struggles and the emotions stirred up by the current events of the day, inspired her as a Singer & Songwriter. She began to use the powerful sonic textures of Alternative Rock Music to cut away all the curtains, veils, and tools of deception that those in power have kept hidden from the general public.
Her songs on the Album "She" do this with precision and they do it to a traditional rock and roll back beat. One journalist stated, "Her voice is honest, Charity's songs are not cute- some of them are down right angry. Musically, she takes on bullies, bigots, haters, and unfair critics as she has observed across the globe".
